Long day!

My Dad went back to the ER last night and they kept him.. For those who do not know my Dad has been dealing with bladder cancer for the last 4 years. His urologist calls this a nuisance cancer as it does not spread nor is it life threatening..but in Dads case it has just gotten worse and has caused him so much pain lately that he has been in the ER every other day for the last few weeks. Last night things really came to a stop for him and I thought we would lose him.. It was very scary. Tonight they took him in for surgery to remove the new regrowth of tumors and found that things are much worse.. His urologist said he has never seen anything like this before. So at this point he wants to go in and remove Dads bladder on Wednesday morning.. Ordinarily this surgery is not too big of a deal but my Dad is a heart patient.. He says he would give him an 80% chance of coming through surgery with flying colors and he knows that his quality of life will increase dramatically considering the pain hes been through lately. Needless to say that 20% chance of losing Dad in surgery is the hard part for all of this.. The surgery will take 4-6 hours and he will be in the hospital for another week after that. Soo I would appreciate any and all prayers on his behalf..and for mom as we wait through surgery on Wednesday.. Thank you!
